This campsite was very tired and rundown. We followed the riverside path for a short distance but needed a further 40 minutes to reach the places of interest. This is not somewhere I would recommend.

Fine for our one night stay. The central area, closest to reception was quite busy by 1pm but there were plenty more spaces to the far left and right. Level pitches with a choice of sun or shade or both. Clean and adequately maintained sanitation block. Restaurant open; we didn’t eat there but the menu looked fine and the prices were good. ACSI price reasonable. Swimming pool being actively restored, surrounded by large well tended lawn. An hour’s walk to the Plaza Major or an easy bike ride.

Dated and neglected site. Swimming pool closes mid September. Fantastic location with lovely walks up the river and cycle rides around the nearby reservoir. Great shade for each pitch but toilets & showers were quite dirty.  grass in communal areas and on most pitches was weedy and overgrown. Basically needs a fair amount of TLC and a bit of money spending on it. 

Came for a couple of days but stayed for four. Well placed for exploring Plasencia with a walking and cycle path next to the campsite. The path is concrete and in good condition. I would thoroughly recommend walking or cycling to the dam and along the reservoir. The facilities are tired but we’ll maintained and spotlessly clean. Within the last few years the majority of the trees have been pollarded or removed and replaced with saplings so the views are better with plenty of sunlight. The tree lined photograph is not up to date. I had to star five categories so food and drink got 1* because the bar and restaurant were closed and sport facilities 1* because I didn’t notice any.

A reasonable site, the facilites block is perfectly functional albeit the washing machine is still out of order. Easy access to the cycle path either to up river to the reservoir or down and into town.

We drove all the way from Mérida intending to stay 4 or 5 days to recharge our batteries. Checked in, set up only to find out that the swimming pool is closed. 2nd week in June 30 degrees, madness. We would not have pitched up if we had known wrong not to say. Moving on tomorrow. I urge everyone to ring ahead wherever you go so as not to be disappointed like us. Didn\'t use facilities other than washrooms.
