Initially we were a bit underwhelmed but actually we spent a pleasant couple of nights here. Pitches are typically compact but probably similar to other sites in France. Facilities looked good although we didn’t use them. Good location for Bayeaux and the many D Day museums.

We stopped at this site for one night on our way home after 3 weeks travelling around France. What a tip! I would be reluctant to give it any stars. This site is overgrown, the mains plug was hidden by brambles, showers full of cob webs, half of the washing up sinks were out of order, Vidour in with washing up area, how hygenic is that. At least it was cheap. I know it was near the end of the season but this is no excuse for the state.

I’m afraid this is not a 3* campsite. The toilets and showers are just adequate. The shower head was blocked, water dribbled out mostly cold. No toilet paper, haven’t seen that for many years! The manager was surly , the wifi didn’t work and the bar was very basic. It was also further than 500 m from the main village. All I can say is that it was cheap!

I read with incredulity some of the comments regarding this site. It\'s a small. friendly little site, the pitches aren\'t the largest, and if you want a pool, water slides & entertainment, then this isn\'t for you.If however you want a small site with friendly international travellers, a 10 minute walk through the Castle park to the delightful village of Creully where there are restaurants, bars, fabulous bakery & market a couple of times each week, then consider it. The toilets & showers were spotlessly clean, as was the dishwashing area, and the chemical toilet emptying area was one of the best we have come across. There is a small but very well stocked supermarket with a butchery department on the outskirts of Creully, plus a 24/7 fuel station too. It\'s 10 minutes to Bayeux, if you would rather take the bus than drive, regular buses run from Creully. Less than 10 minutes to the lovely little town of Courseulles, excellent Lidl there plus fish market. Bayeux is ten minutes away, and so much to see there. Shopping there - there is a fabulous market, plus a superb Leclerc hyper market where they sell fish straight from the docks at Port En Bessin. There is WiFi, but because of the trees, not the best, but we took our own Huawei router & bought a SIM card from LeClerc, & were able to watch tv & access internet without any problem. We stayed here twice in 2023, in May for 5 weeks, and again in September for a month.

The campsite was conveniently positioned in an interesting area. There was a lack of pride having been taken in the site, the grass needed cutting and the entrance looked rundown and in need of attention and we were astonished that the Chemical Toilet emptying facility was in amongst the dishwashing area openly without any protective walls around it, surely a potential health hazard. However the facilities were clean and the showers provided hot water. It is a small site and has many residential cabins on it and the location is good, close to an interesting town with Castle and excellent restaurant. My motivation for contacting you is concern that the Toilet emptying facility is openly in the dishwashing area.

Never again. I know we stayed on this site at the end of the season. But that\'s no reason the let standers slip that much.

If you are thinking of visiting this site, I beg of you, avoid it like the plague. I do mean that in every sense of the word. The toilets were the worst we have ever seen in all our many travels in France, Spain + others. The ladies are not open, so they have go into the gents, with overflowing urinals at the entrance. He...note, staff =1, from the time we arrived, they were never cleaned! NOT EVEN ONCE! In this awful time, when Cleanliness and Hygine have to be top of the list, not for this useless lazy individual. We asked for a plot with electrics, and orientation that that would give us Sat TV, tried 1st proposed location, would need about 100 feet of cable, 2nd try, Sat Dish kept going round like a Whitley gig. Back to the office..again, proposed another plot on the opposite side of the Site, got there, Vans parked on it, AND Electric post. Back to the office again, too tired or I would demand refund & leave. Had a conversation that must have lasted about 5 mins. Before he gave me an Cable Reel, I looked at it in disbelief, it was an internal cable only, another several minutes of banter, then he produced the necessary connector, woo...don\'t be hasty, where do I plug this in????, Eventual answer, across the road at another Static. fortunately I had my own convertor extension to plug into the van. Eventually, got up and running, but...The toilets, yet to be visited, was the shocker to come. Beyond belief, that this guy has ever been given a license to trade as a public service provider, especially during this awful pandemic.
